Cabinet Design

Brown Dog developed out of a custom cabinet business which catered to a high-end, demanding residential market for years. Successful collaboration with home owners, architects, interior designers and builders was a cornerstone of that business. Those years of experience inform our design process and allow us to provide our clients with creative solutions to the sometimes daunting construction process. Beyond our commitment to superior design, our clients can rely on our extensive knowledge of construction techniques, materials, hardware and finishes for guidance when choosing the right craftsmen for the job.

Architectural MILLWORK

At Brown Dog we understand that architectural millwork is an integral part of a developed woodwork design plan. We have extensive, practical experience milling and installing everything from custom doors, to coffered ceilings, to wainscot. We draw on this experience to provide our clients with a level of integrated millwork design that transcends the ordinary.

Drafting

Presentation Drawings

We all know nothing ever happens until someone makes a sale. To be able to sell your product you need to be clear, precise and able to convey your vision. Sometimes this is just providing a drawing of a key element that captures the essence of your vision. Sometimes it takes plans and elevations and construction details. Whatever the demands of your presentation, we can provide the detailed, professional drawings you need.

Shop Drawings

Our extensive background in cabinet making and architectural millwork makes us ideally suited to produce detailed shop drawings to present for construction approval. We can offer a comprehensive drawing set that includes plans and elevations, cut-throughs, and construction and molding details. If the project calls for it, we can also provide drawings for custom knives. To facilitate the construction process we can also provide comprehensive assembly sheets with full cut-lists and material quantities.
